There are a number of ways in which you can help contribute to the shelter, especially if you aren’t looking to currently take home a new fur friend but would still like to send along some help.

We are in constant need of kitten + cat food, dog food, cat + dog treats, cat litter, cleaning supplies, …. the list goes on. There’s an SPCA donation box located at Dominion on Murphy Square, Sobey’s at the Valley Mall and at both Coleman’s stores in Corner Brook. You’re more than welcome to pop down to the shelter with whatever it is you’re sending along to the animals. The presents are always so appreciated!

We are also constantly stretching our budget to make sure as many as possible or all of our animals are spayed and neutered. Not only does it improve their health and quality of life, but it drastically increases the chances of them becoming adopted as well. However, as we’re trying to juggle the costs associated with running two buildings (the one we’re currently in, and the new one we’re repairing and moving into soon) money is tight. We’ve taken sponsors to fix animals before, in which the sponsor contributes the full funds for a particular animals surgery. We can also take small donations via interac e-transfers that add up very quickly and can suddenly become responsible for spaying & neutering a number of animals!

The email for interac e-transfers is:, and we can also accept donations at the Humber Valley Vet Clinic as well as at our shelter on 10 Connors Road in Curling.

If you do send along a donation and would like a tax receipt, just let us know and that’s not a problem at all.

Thanks SO much!
